Budglet is an online budgeting app that helps users track expenses by manually entering expense records or using AI to extract information from receipts, invoices, documents, and paper records.

We may collect account information such as name, email address, authentication provider details, subscription status, plan selection, billing identifiers, app settings, and usage activity.

When users scan or upload documents, Budglet may process document images and extracted details such as merchant names, totals, dates, categories, notes, and line items.

We use information to provide the app, authenticate users, create and manage expense records, process AI extraction, enforce plan limits, manage trials and subscriptions, improve reliability, prevent abuse, and provide support.

Budglet may send uploaded documents or extracted text to third-party AI providers, such as Groq, to identify expense details. Users should not upload documents containing sensitive information that is not needed for budgeting.

Budglet uses Lemon Squeezy or a similar payment provider to manage checkout, subscriptions, trials, invoices, payment events, and customer portal access. Budglet does not store full payment card numbers.

We may use service providers for hosting, database storage, authentication, email delivery, payments, analytics, AI processing, and operational monitoring. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to Budglet.

We retain account, subscription, usage, expense, and scan data for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain business records. Users may request deletion of their account data, subject to legal or operational retention requirements.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user information. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so users should keep account access secure and avoid uploading unnecessary sensitive information.

Users may update account settings, choose what documents to upload, manage subscription status through the billing portal when available, and contact Budglet to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information.

Budglet is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
